Main aim of cohort, please briefly describe the main objectives of the cohort
This project was a pilot study with the aims to: assess the prevalence of known risk factors (biological, environmental and behavioral) for the development of metabolic syndrome in Croatian islands and neighboring mainland area and to use this information as a base to develop an intervention strategy.
